Alex Lynch from Forte reviews Trevor Petrie’s latest album “Trevor Petrie Live at Mouse Mountain”.
This is where Trevor shines, his ability to convey a story across to his audience…. Live at Mouse Mountain is very much an album focused on storytelling, with an emphasis on thought and idea conflict.Alex Lynch – Forte
We are excited to announce the release of Trevor Petrie’s new solo album “Live at Mouse Mountain”.
Recorded at Mouse Mountain Studios in Kyabram with Cameron Prictor and Josh Ratcliffe on the 13th of September, 2019, “Live at Mouse Mountain” is an intimate eight track chronicle of the human condition.
I can see it clear, in my reflection in your tears, I should’ve faced my fears for now fear is all I know. The Bitter End
If you caught any of Trevor’s live shows throughout 2018-19, you will be familiar with all eight tracks, however most are previously unreleased with only three of the eight appearing on earlier EP’s Lion In The Closet and The Beauty Of Solitude (The War of Ideas).
“Live At Mouse Mountain” will be released on July 27 and is available for “pre-save” now on Spotify:

Jer from Sleeping Bag Studios reviews Trevor Petrie’s latest single “Intersection”.
Since being turned onto the music of Trevor Petrie And The War Of Ideas nearly a year ago now, I’ve been drawn to the real melody, heart and sweetness you can find in their thoughtful tunes…
This very tune “Intersection,” could very well be a song that Paul Dempsey himself might write in his solo work or through Something For Kate. I suppose…in many ways really, this particular sound of Trevor Petrie And The War Of Ideas is one that I’ve come to associate with that entire continent. It’s thoughtful music that makes you think and eases the mindJer@SBS
